INKIMONOplus is a private kimono learning program for those who want to deepen their knowledge and appreciation of kimono.

Through small, personalized lessons and educational workshops, you can learn about kimono, styling, dressing, coordination and the cultural background behind what you wear — at your own pace and according to your interests.

EDUCATIONAL KIMONO WORKSHOP

Learn about kimono with a professionally trained kimono stylist!‍ ‍

Have you ever bought a kimono and wondered what exactly you bought? Perhaps you have a growing collection but are unsure which kimono is appropriate for which occasion, how to choose an obi, or what all those different patterns, fabrics and terms actually mean.

Finding reliable information about kimono in English can also be surprisingly difficult, so I created INKIMONO+! It is my educational workshop series, created to make kimono knowledge more accessible to anyone who wants to understand it better. The workshop is interactive rather than a traditional lecture. You are encouraged to ask questions, examine kimono and obi up close, and take part in practical dressing try-on.

DURATION: Approximately 120 minutes. The workshop is compact, but not simplified — the aim is to give you a solid foundation that you can continue building on.

FORMAT: In-person workshop

LANGUAGE: English, Japanese or Polish available on request.

Booking a workshop:‍ ‍

You can request a private workshop on a date that suits you. When making a request, please include your preferred date, preferred time and number of participants. Send an email to inkimono.com@gmail.com or through the contact form!

KIMONO DRESSING COURSE IN ENGLISH

Learn to wear kimono with a licensed kimono teacher!

Would you like to learn the skill of kitsuke, but prefer to study in English? Join my kimono courses at INKIMONO+.

These are comprehensive, practical courses where you will learn not only how to dress yourself in kimono, but also about different types of kimono and obi, correct pairings, levels of formality, and kimono etiquette.

I offer group courses as well as private lessons at your convenient time!

Follow INKIMONOplus on Instagram for upcoming course schedules and new class announcements.

KIMONO TRIPS

Kimono trips around Japan, organized occasionally by INKIMONO+

I occasionally organize small group journeys (8 participants) combining kimono, local culture, food, sightseeing, workshops and of course kimono shopping at local stores! I frequently collaborate with Ukiyoe House in Ito, Shizuoka prefecture. Another one of my destinations is Aizu Wakamatsu in Fukushima Prefecture.

For updates and upcoming dates on my kimono trips, please follow INKIMONO or INKIMONOplus!
